The Book Animal Farm was Written by George Orwell
had published four novels in that decade, of considerable but not of the highest quality, partly because they are very flatly realistic and their purpose seems instrumental. Napoleon has the strength to lead with the help of his secret police dogs and Squealer who has a gift of persuasion. It expressed itself less in the form of a political hostility than a moral vitality. At first everything seems to go well on the farm. Additionally, an Animal Farm video game is in the works. In a short compass it says all that a powerful mind has to say on an important aspect of life. Napoleon demonstrates how the other farm animals weakness can be dominated by strength, fear, and trickery, revealing one of George Orwells themes. Orwell, a man of great political and moral intelligence, wrote in a time when, like most European intellectuals, he assumed that the direction of the century was toward egalitarian or proletarian revolution.
Animal Farm is in many respects an old-fashioned book; certainly it is not written from inside the whale, where, as he said, seemingly there is nothing left but quietism robbing reality of its terrors by simply submitting. He therefore thought it necessary in the interest of world socialism to expose the Stalin myth. Thanks to the tactics of Snowball, the animals defeat Jones in what thereafter becomes known as The history of the Western Frontier Battle of the Cowshed. And for some reason, a loyal horse betrayed can become one of the most tragic and sympathetic figures in literature. He is known for his hard work ethic and his needing to simplify things for them to make sense to him. Though there were not many, there were some instances where the leaders in this book preformed well. In general, the 1954 film is judged to be the better of the two. It is one of the great modern political allegories, and the story it tells, of innocent and necessary revolution turning into dictatorship and betrayal, is not just a striking piece of political intelligence but a fundamental modern myth. The parable successfully shows how the dream that communism in theory could be so easily turns into the nightmare that totalitarianism again and again has proven.
